I started linocutting when I left Bristol. Like a problem to solve or a series of open ended questions, the work starts to navigate its way somewhere. I enjoy embracing colours, layers and shapes.
Linocutting has made me think more about each element of the image and made a planner of me. The works combine my desire to find a pattern or diagram to decorate a structure. Not an underlying pattern, rather a decorative motif that works to develop the skin of the image.
